We are running into an error in E10.1.500.10 in Engineering Workbench when using Get Details from Operations.
Here’s our scenario:
Today in our ECO process Design Engineers will create new parts and add Bills of Materials in Agile and we’ll import these into Epicor. Usually after the new revision and part materials have been added the Manufacturing Engineers will go in an add operations. If we have a previous rev for the part in Engineering Workbench we would typically goto Action -> Revision -> Get Details -> Get From Operations and select a previous rev to copy operations from. After operations are added we would go through and assign part materials to the correct operation sequence. This works like a charm in E9.05.702.
In E10.1.500.10 we receive a Business Layer Exception Error that indicates The Revision must be empty of operations. This error does not seem to occur when we add operations before part materials have been added. We only get this when part material have been added to the ECO rev and we want to get details from a previous rev. We can manually add operations, however if we don’t have to do one operation at a time that will save us time.
Is anyone using this functionality in E10? We are trying to determine if you are using this functionality in E9 and had to switch process in E10 or if this possibly worked in E10.0 or 10.1.400 and could be broken in 10.1.500.
