Epicor 9.05.700C - Freight & Duty

Well it sounds like your parts are easy to identify so  you should   be able to add a  misc charge automatically  at shipment entry  either with a screen  customization   ( vb or c#)  or a series of bpm(s) that will identify these parts and add  up the charges for you.

They are closed this week, but I’m pretty sure if it is a NAFTA item, and it is shipped outside they US, it needs a flat rate for duty.

The items are marked as NAFTA items on the part master via a UDF.

What does your manual process look like to calculate these fees?

I have to do this based upon the part number and where it is shipped.

It has to do with Country of Origin and other NAFTA rules.

The way we accomplished this is to have a customization in customer shipment entry that adds misc charges based on the number of boxes or pallets.

We also bring product across the tijuana border but we don't have any nafta charges that we add but we do have a pallet and a box charge  that can be added depending on the shipment

Is there a way to automatically add freight and duty to an invoice based
upon the item shipped?

We have special NAFTA rules to follow when shipping from out Mexico
plant.

This is currently all manual effort for every shipment.

Does anyone else out there have to deal with NAFTA rules when shipping
from Mexico?

We ship all over the world.

Sound like you need a BPM to populate the Misc Charges in Customer Shipments.

Have you looked under Part Maintenance >Â Â Integrations > Manifest Info?

We populate the NAFTA Preference Code, Producer Code, HTS Code, ECCN Number etc.

We populate the country of origin in the Part Maintenance screen.

We created a NAFTA Trade Agreement and Commercial l Invoice  which is a drop down in Customer Shipments > Actions > Print.

This way all documentation is bundled at the time of Shipment.
