Since support for Server 2008 R2 is ending this week, I was wondering if anybody has “upgraded” their Epicor 9 server with Progress DB from 2008R2 to 2012R2 successfully?. I am looking to just do a quick “in-place” upgrade if I can. Anyone been through this scenario???
Strongly against this. If you must do the upgrade, virtualize / make a copy and test it very carefully for a period before doing so, then you are on your own.
We couldn’t even install Progress 10.2A on 2012R2. Even if you can make the upgrade run, it may be not compatible and have a lot of problems.
I’d suggest staying on 2008R2, or E10
Can anyone confirm this statement by @Cycl3? I’m wondering if this is a single occurance, or if E9 will not run on an in-place upgrade to 2012R2.
