Conceptually great. Implementable? unknown. Every piece of software should be able to talk to any other piece - in the end that’s all we want, right? Everything with an open API. And data? Universal data model? Layers of data layer anonymization clogging the pipes.
Layers upon layers of API code for these pieces to communicate just takes the place of our current problem and then some vendor changes the API tool set that you use and you have to rewrite.
As long as there are vendors in the loop, we’re screwed.
