We just completed our final cut-over into our upgraded 10.2 environment and went through User Acceptance Testing this morning. We put out a “dummy” job and entered a labor entry against the job.
We created a PO associated with the job for an OV step. We made a receipt to receive the OV parts back in.
Now I am trying to work in reverse and delete all my “dummies”:
I deleted the receipt that had been held against PO.
I deleted the labor entry associated with the dummy job.
But I am having trouble deleting the PO and the job. When I try to delete the PO, I get this error:
PartTran record(s).
At this point you might have to close the job “as is” and manually adjust your costs.
As far as I know, once a part trasaction exists, you can’t delete the related record.
Or, if this is the only activity in your new system…
Then I wonder if you might be able to use Database Purge and Summarize to get rid of the PartTran(s)?
Note… I wouldn’t try that in the Live system until I had verified it fully in a Test system.
@Alice_Elizabeth Did you issue any material to the job other than the material from the PO? Do you have Advanced Material Management? Did you take completed parts on the job to stock?
