Unfortunately I had to “remove” a consultant from this list who had apparently harvested emails from the list and started soliciting.
Once again I am forced to send this email out to remind people of the rules.
Background:
This list was created to fill a void Epicor had back in the day when they were not even called “Epicor”. It was a way for CUSTOMERS to help each other out. Then it was decided that consultants could join to HELP the CUSTOMERS.
Before I became the moderator, other moderators had warned me about consultants not doing their part, meaning they have not bothered to contribute to this list.
After talking to the “owner” of the list, the owner has decided this:
If you are a consultant and have not sent an email as a response to help someone then you will be removed. So you better start posting.
This new rule has been added to the following rules that you should be following:
1) As a consultant you are here to help the customers….not yourselves – this is really just a reminder.
2) You are not allowed to advertise on the list. One warning is all you get. The second time, you are removed with no warning.
3) You are not allowed to harvest the emails from this list and advertise OFF list. To clarify, if someone on the list asks for help, you may respond to them off list. That said, you NEVER get the choice to harvest the emails and solicit off list regardless. You just get removed if this happens….no warning. And all it takes is a few people complaining to me off list with the offending email.
There were a whole lot of people that joined recently from different consulting groups. I know who you are. If you do not start posting to this group in the next 30 days, you are removed period. THIS INCLUDES EPICOR consultants.
Those consultants who will complain that this is their source of revenue…this is not my problem. This list was NEVER intended for you to get work. So figure it out. If you want to be a part of this group, YOU BETTER START POSTING EMAILS TO HELP CUSTOMERS OUT.
