FTP Software Recommendations

Wondering what the group uses for FTP software? I’ve been having problems with the software that a client of mine uses, it crashes fairly regularly. I’m thinking about using Service Connect as one option, but not all files that go back and forth are going into or coming directly out of Epicor.

I’m thinking FTP software has to be fairly standard. Basically, I’m looking for something that I can set up on a schedule. If there are files on the FTP side, it pulls them down to my network and removes from the FTP (or renames the extension, or in some way marks it so I don’t continue to pull the same file down). And, obviously I’ve got outgoing as well. I’ve got a number of different schedules with a variety of FTP and network locations.

Thanks in advance.

If you are using SQL then perhaps you could use the SSIS SFTP or FTP task. This would give you the scheduling and you probably may have it installed as part of your SQL install.

Cheers

I use Service Connect for my FTP solution. Service Connect can integrate with pretty much anything and is not dependent on only working with Epicor. My FTP uses Epicor data that I pull from the database, but does not reference any business objects or anything and does run on a schedule.
