Sorry all, but this message details did not come out as I
entered the information. The key thing is that the quantity per parent
changed back to 1 per parent on the split job when the original job had
it as 8 per parent.

Subject: [Vantage] Job Splitting, Information
Changed

I just ran across a result of a job split which is
disturbing as I don't
think we did anything to cause this situation to happen.

Instead of delivering all the product for a customer
next month, the
customer requested we deliver the product over eight
months with
shipments every two months. We had issued most purchase
orders against
the original job number. We split the job into three
additional jobs,
making four jobs with four equal deliveries. But the
three new jobs had
quantity differences at the lower level from the
original jobs.
Everything seemed OK, but starting at the second level
of the bill of
material the quantity per parent reverted back to 1 per
parent. Has
anyone else encountered this?

Was:

I just tried this in Vantage training and verified that
when the job is
split the Sub-Assembly quantity/parent was again changed
back to 1.
Does anybody know why?
