I am trying to insert a line feed within the Operation Comments of the Engineering Workbench. The intention is to get each comment broken by a new line.
If [ENTER] is keyed in the text box, it displays all of the comments on the first line when viewed in the MES screen.
I tried a considerable amount ASCII characters in an attempt to create the line feed but was not successful.
All suggestions are appreciated!
Yes there is a way to do this. I think it is Ctrl - Enter or something like that. Testing this now.
This can cause data export issues as the comments can get broken up into separate columns if exported to CSV.
I just tested this with the Kinetic MES and both do what you want.
Hmmm… I had a customer who once complained about the lack of ability to do this, and the reason turned out to be because they chose to make the ENTER key also act as the TAB key (this is a personalization)… I never recommend that this be done. The TAB is how you move from field to field. ENTER puts a CR/LF into the text.
