Job Qty Adjustment for Scrapped Items

There is an OLD enhancement request with 4 hits on it # 4236 MPS which I copied below. If your company is interested please contact Vantage support and let them know that you want to be attached to this enhancement request. This request was written before the Quanlity Module existed. The enhancement could be revised to include effects on data collection labor reporting and MRP requirements. I do not think that the original job quantity should be changed, an additional field should be added that would hold the CURRENT job quantity and then we should have a choice in the Job Configuration area whether we want to use the Original or Current job quantity for the various areas that that field is used.

SUGGESTION:

Currently, scrap quantities are not automatically deducted from subsequent
operations. An operation will still expect the full quantity, even if a
previous operation has had scrap reported.

Customer would like to this happen: Any scrap reported on a previous
operation should reduce the required quantity for subsequent operations, and


WORKAROUND: Change the run quantity on subsequent operations by changing
the qty/parent.
