Scrap reporting

We recently converted to 5.1 and one area that has changed is that we
are no longer able to do a negative scrap qty on a job. In 4.0 we
would use this feature to correct job qtys if an employee recorded a
part as scrap in error or if a part was reworked and completed on the
job. Since once you roll up WIP you cannot change an employees
transactions reported to jobs how are others using 5.1 handling any
corrections that need to be made with regard to scrap?

We use shop floor data collection and would like any suggestions as
to the procedures others use to record their "current" (good),"non-
conforming" and "scrap" parts.

Also, another related question is in regard to employee efficiency,
if you can't adjust/correct the quantity completed on a job, how do
you calculate the correct employee efficiency for that operation.
How do others handle scrap and non-conforming parts in the
calculation of the employee efficiency.
