Good morning Group-

I am having an issue with certain barcodes not scanning on the Job Traveler report due to them only having one character of data (either alphanumeric or numeric). I have also added barcodes to the PackSlip form with the same issue to where a single character will not scan. I seem to remember something quite a while ago on this very topic but I cannot seem to find the emails, is this a Crystal or Vantage issue and is there a workaround that someone could offer? I appreciate any inputs on this issue because right now it has me beating my head against the wall.

Thanks

Which barcode scanner are you using? On some scanners there is a "Any
Length" configuration setting.

If you happen to be using the Symbol LS2208 USB Scanner, Check out the
"Barcoding" folder on this Yahoo Groups page and there is a doc entitled
"LS2208 INITIAL SETUP.PDF". Roll through this doc and scan all
barcodes in that sequence. #5 sets "Code 39 - Any Length". This is
assuming you are using Code39.

Paul,

This a programmable setting on the scanner.

On Symbol scanners that I have worked with it is

SYMBOLOGIES Ã SET LENGTHS FOR CODE 39 Ã Any Length

Hope this helps
