Kit and Release on 8.03.404A

We have found a very similar issue in 8.03.305e which UK support
reproduced in 305L. If we convert a quote to a sales order the needby
and shipby dates do not transfer to the sales kit components and hence
they do not appear on pick lists or in Purchase order suggestions.

They have given it call number 863277BRK. They are sending to
development team.

Goto actions/quote/create sales order

Enter a needby and shipby date and create.

Open new order in sales order entry.

Under summary/lines detail click on kit details box. (see image 2) The
needby and shipby dates have not been populated and need to be added
manually. (Failure to remember to do this causes the components not to
appear in picking lists and has resulted in us having to send out a
second shipment).

The sales girls get around the above 2 issues by deleting kits from a
quote when converting it to a sales order and then adding them back in
as new lines on the sales order

On 8.03.404A, we have noticed a real mess with using Sales Kits on releases.
If you try to add multiple releases on an Sales Order, only one release
displays until you reload the order.

Worse, the BookDtl file gets completely whacked. It seems to decrease the
booked order value by the sum of the kits components value and not the kit
itself. Honestly, it should be decreasing the booked value at all since one is
adding releases.

We've done to making sure that each Sales Kit gets its own line number. This
seems to work just fine. If you'd like to use releases with Sales Kits, you
can use this Call Number: 1083968PSC.

Another problem we've noticed with sales kits is if you modify the
need by/ship by dates of an existing order, the kit date updates, but
none of the component/detail lines of the kit update.

So, when shipping prints their pick list, only the kit shows up - the
details are still stuck on their previous date and don't print.

Yes, I just heard that too Patrick. In fact, if you try to go in and change
the releases, it reverts back to whatever it was.

Ugh.

I called on this same problem yesterday. I wasn't told that it was a
known problem. My call # is 1529660ESC
