Linked Part field on Resource

I just realized what the Linked Part field on a Resource should be used for (at least I think I know).

Does anyone use this for tooling or any other purpose? I’m interested to see if it works well with trying to maintain certain levels of inventory. If you are using it for tooling, do you add a Resource for each piece that you own?

OMG! I really need to wait a set amount of time before posting to let my thoughts fully form.

So, thinking more, I am thinking that if you want to use tooling (I’m thinking of consumables or dies for mills and brakes), that you would create 1 resource and then set the Concurrent Capacity to the number you want to maintain in stock. Then you could set a min to maintain that level. The Concurrent Capacity would then only schedule how many you have in stock at one time. So, if you have 2 end mills with 2 jobs scheduled from 1 PM - 2 PM, and the schedule comes across a job that also needs one at 1:30 PM, it will push that operation out to start at 2:01 PM because the Concurrent Capacity is met. :exploding_head:

WOW! I am such a nerd because I cannot wait to test this!!!
