So…I’ll never use this feature ever again.

@fredmeissner That’s still true - I never had any reason to go back to this “feature,” so I have no idea.

And really I have no idea what my users actually do for these kinds of one-off R&D-type jobs.

What I’d recommend instead is having a dummy part (a real one, not a POTF) that is non-qty-bearing, then receive the part to stock.

Is that an oxymoron? Yes, but it works.

How to create Mfg demand without a Sales Order?

The way I read this is, “we want to use up stuff in inventory and/or create demand for same stuff, but not produce anything.” I mapped out a plan for that at my job two years ago.
