Mrp gone wild

We are starting to use MRP on a handful of parts but while running MRP and using the Filter to run a single part, sometimes it runs correctly and other times it will start running parts totally unrelated to the part designated in the part filter. To help solve this problem we went in and under Part Maintenance/Sites/Planning have unchecked the Process MRP box on All parts…currently we only have it checked on 1 part only and using the Filter on that one part in Process MRP and it will still start running other parts. Anyone run into this issue?

Thanks!

If you are seeing it process other parts, that is because it does look at those parts but then bypasses them. When you see it processing other parts, it is looking at the flag, etc. It doesn’t mean that it creating jobs for that part, etc.

There is an enhancement in a later version that will help bypass that step. Until then, MRP will run through all your parts to see if it has the MRP flag set.

Thank you!!
