MS Project Blank Title 87208

Does anyone out there integrate MS Project with Epicor scheduling?

We're looking to dump, by job/project manager, into a project each PM can own for their own PM management. We are on 9.05.700c if that helps.

Any thoughts on this?

Ken

We have been thinking of using MS Project but then were told that it doesn't integrate with job scheduling. I was surprised to hear that as I couldn't think of a good use for MS Project outside of scheduling. Does anyone use MS Project alongside Epicor's project management? If so, what do you use it for?
I have been testing the export MS project in the Project ENtry module. My
version is 406A. Before creating the csv file it asks what kind of information
you would like to see in the Project document. Some of the options are: JOb, Job
Assemblies and Job operations. However, these dates do not seem to match the
actual start/end date for the jobs. Does anybody experience something like this?

Please advise,

Hi,

I have a quick look(405) and it seems there is an issue of sorts but unfortunately I can't pin it down. I will have a further look. It seems that, from our data, that some dates are missing. The csv seems to be correct but loading into project it seems to make some assumptions.

Just to clarify, are the dates being pulled through the correct dates if referring to the scheduled start and end dates rather than the actuals or are there some 'weird dates' in there. Are there any referring to todays date etc.

Thats correct I just looked at the csv files and they seem correct to me but when they are converted into project they just scramble changing the dates. We basically schedule from end to start but MS project seems to schedule from Start to end. Is there any setting that we cna change to make MS project to do this?

Thanks,
