(O.T. HP5000 print drivers)

The postscript driver prints slower for us, the print file is much larger
when we use the PS driver. Found the PCL 5e much better than the PCL 6 or
the PostScript when printing across the network.

Dan

Go to HP and find the PostScript drivers for your printer. You never
want to use PCL drivers on a network printer - SLOW !!!.

Lets see . I have 8 HP 8100's - 32PPM, 5 HP 4SI's and I picked up
two HP 5000's at auction $200 each including the network card.

I recently moved from NT4 to Server 2003. My HP5000 print speed is
approximately 1/2 as fast before. Old NT config used HP Jetadmin. Server
2003 uses TCP/IP ports and HP 5000 PLC6 printer driver downloaded from
HP's website. I suspect my performance problems are a settings issue.
What driver / interface are others using on Server 2003?

Thanks
