One time job part numbers

We deal with non-system parts every day.

The Sales order is entered, which is linked to the Job.  If your material is also a non-system part, then those will be purchase direct. So when the PO comes in, the material is issued directly to the job.  You have to be careful with the MOQ on parts though.  You might need one, but your job will be issued 3 along with the cost.

If you ever get a repeat order, then you can get details from the previous job.

Subject: [Vantage] One time job part numbers

We normally sell large laser cutting jobs to our commercial customers, however we are now receiving custom one-time orders from small business and consumers for signs, gifts and the like. It really wouldn't be practical to setup unique part numbers for every one of these, so I'm curious if anyone else has to deal with this and what is the best work-around?

Thanks,

Ed
