Order Entry Default

Try this:

Use a Data Directive In-Transaction on OrderRel

Conditions = OrderRel.Rowmod field on the added row is equal to the "A"
expression

Actions = set the OrderRel.FirmRelease field of the added row to the
FALSE expression

Hi:
I'm on Epicor 9.05.700C. When entering an order where the line(s) has a single release, after saving the line entry, the single release is auto generated and the "Firm Release" box is checked by default.

Our Order entry procedure requires a Proof read by a second entry person before processing the order. So logically, the release should not be marked firm until after the proof read is complete. The proof reader would then check off the Firm Box. (This is needed to be able to filter at the Planning Workbench and prevent job creation prematurely.)
I've attempted a BPM unsuccessfully to change that default to unchecked. Has anyone done this or have a suggestion on how to accomplish this?
Thanks!

Stan
We had to default a UD field at the order release level, similar to your scenario. We implemented an In-Transaction Data Directive on the OrderRel table.
