Yes it was a short within the power supply. Thanks everybody.

I've had this problem in the past and it was the motherboard grounding out
on the chassis. Whoever installed the MB in the case missed not one but two
of the plastic tabs that keep the MB off the case

One more thing
Any movement of the box whatsoever seems to cause it to reboot. I have
swapped out the power cord, the outlet it is in and no difference.

I have a clone workstation. It keeps rebooting. Power is good and
checked it with meter. No issue. What else would make this system
keep rebooting?
can you boot it from a known clean floppy?

Could be a driver conflict for one reason or another.

I'd try installing the latest service packs and patches. If that doesn't
work try removing all devices in device manager and reboot, let windows
reinstall all the devices again and see if that helps (leave the mouse
device for last though).

Next, try physically removing (or disabling through the BIOS) all but the
absolutely necessary components on the system (i.e. sound, network, etc) and
see if it boots and stays up and running? If it does, slowly start adding
one by one the components, when the rebooting happens again, you know where
your problem lies and you should be able to troubleshoot it from there.

Some things to try anyways,

I had a laptop recently that kept doing this (rebooting randomly). It came with Win-XP installed but I had reloaded it with Win2K. Later (after no help at all from Gateway) I discovered a BIOS setting to select Plug&Play OS which was still set to WinXP. Perhaps your clone's motherboard/BIOS is one customized for a particular OS and is set wrong? While checking the BIOS settings look for an OS seleciton option incase is has that.

Could the CPU be overheating? The CPU fan could be out or, if this is a
new computer, the CPU fan could be incorrectly installed.

I had this same problem and it turned out to be the power supply.

Could the CPU be overheating? The CPU fan could be out or, if this is a
new computer, the CPU fan could be incorrectly installed.

One more thing
Any movement of the box whatsoever seems to cause it to reboot. I have
swapped out the power cord, the outlet it is in and no difference.

Could be a driver conflict for one reason or another.

I'd try installing the latest service packs and patches. If that doesn't
work try removing all devices in device manager and reboot, let windows
reinstall all the devices again and see if that helps (leave the mouse
device for last though).

Next, try physically removing (or disabling through the BIOS) all but
the
absolutely necessary components on the system (i.e. sound, network, etc)
and
see if it boots and stays up and running? If it does, slowly start
adding
one by one the components, when the rebooting happens again, you know
where
your problem lies and you should be able to troubleshoot it from there.

Some things to try anyways,

My money's on the power supply. Or you could have a cable from the power
supply to the motherboard that is bad or partially connected.

As of right now it has stayed on through an entire scan disk and defrag
neither having been done in over 150 days. Now I haven't laid a hand on
either the system, or the keyboard. This seems very strange to me.

Could the CPU be overheating? The CPU fan could be out or, if this is a
new computer, the CPU fan could be incorrectly installed.

Ditto on that, power supply was faulty. Swap it out and you fixed your
problem. Sounds like if you move it slightly and it does that, the problem
more than likely lies within the power supply. I second the idea to
replacing that part.

My money's on the power supply. Or you could have a cable from the power
supply to the motherboard that is bad or partially connected.

I still wonder why the slightest move would cause this system to reboot?

I have a clone workstation. It keeps rebooting. Power is good and
checked
it with meter. No issue. What else would make this system keep
rebooting?

I've had this problem in the past and it was the motherboard grounding out
on the chassis. Whoever installed the MB in the case missed not one but two
of the plastic tabs that keep the MB off the case
