The “My Documents” folder resides within the c:\documents and
settings\<user>\ folder on the drive containing the OS. The best thing to
do would be to create a shortcut on the desktop pointing to it. Right
click, pick send to, then desktop as a shortcut.

I'm implementing folder redirection for all workstations' My Documents
folders, and I have a few workstations missing "My Documents" folders on the
desktop (W2K SP3). The My Documents folder is still there - just not on the
desktop. How do I bring it back once it has been deleted? Web search did
me no good on this. Anybody have an idea? Thanks.

Use windows explorer then do a right click drag to the desktop and create a
short cut. The icon will look like a short cut icon but if you want you can
change it to the folder looking one that's the default on a clean
installation you can under properties.

Shows what I know. I found it after sending this. Open Windows Explorer -
Tools - View - Check the My Documents on desktop checkbox. -Gary
