[OT] MS Access - Query

You are correct. If I remember correctly I was able to do it with some help from someone here on the list but I was using the Progress ODBC driver and the MS Sql server ODBC driver. You might scan the groups archive for the answer. If I remember I used the keyword "ADO" in my question. I got it to work but because of the slowness of the Progress ODBC driver I gave up and went another direction.
Thanks
Jeremy

Jeremy,

Thank you, it's working with linking the table.
I read somewhere that it's possible to achieve it by adding the connection
string in the SELECT query itself, but there were no details on how. I have
tryed doezens of combinations without success.

Does anyone know how to do this?
I am trying to pull records from two MS Access databases in Visual Basic
6.0, let's say db_1.mdb and db_2.mdb, similar to this:

SELECT db_1.table_1.field_1
FROM db_1.table_1
WHERE db_1.table_1.field_1 = db_2.table_2.field_2

There are two active connections open, cnn_1 for db_1 and cnn_2 for db_2.
Any ideas?

I never have gotten a good answer for this. What I did was to link the tables from the first database to the 2nd database and then I only had to worry about one connection.
Thanks
Jeremy
