register Terminal Server Lic to let clients connect via a Terminal Service

For people to connect remotely I require them to have XP pro. Once all is
in place you open up the remote connection icon in Accessories enter the
IP
of your server and you are good to go. I connect from home, (45 miles
way)
and it is a clean fast connection. (I have road runner at home) Nearly,
like a local connection.

There is no cost for Server portion of Terminal Services with Windows 2000
server. If the client is connecting via the web or in not a Windows 2000
Pro or Windows XP Pro Machine then you have to purchase a client access
lic
for $75.00 each. If the client connects via the web it doesnt matter what
OS it is using, it still requires a client access lic. You have to run
and
register Terminal Server Lic to let clients connect via a Terminal Service
session. You have 30 days from the time the Terminal Server Lic is
activated to purchase the client access lic. After the 30 days, the
server
will stop issueing temp lic and your user wont be able to log in over the
web.

remote desktop. For me, speed times out almost to the second, as if I were
at the office. Also found by setting up an FTP site on the home end. I could
quickly/easily transfer files. Set up a network link to the ftp on the work

There is no cost for Server portion of Terminal Services with Windows 2000
server. If the client is connecting via the web or in not a Windows 2000
Pro or Windows XP Pro Machine then you have to purchase a client access lic
for $75.00 each. If the client connects via the web it doesnt matter what
OS it is using, it still requires a client access lic. You have to run and
register Terminal Server Lic to let clients connect via a Terminal Service
session. You have 30 days from the time the Terminal Server Lic is
activated to purchase the client access lic. After the 30 days, the server
will stop issueing temp lic and your user wont be able to log in over the
web.

The easiest is to get a good internet connection and add terminal server
to
your server. Windows XP has the terminal server license built in. Our VP
of Sales was on a recent visit to China. She connected to our terminal
server every day(night) and while it was slow it was workable. We have
roadrunner as our internet connection. You will need to have a static IP.
For people to connect remotely I require them to have XP pro. Once all is
in place you open up the remote connection icon in Accessories enter the
IP
of your server and you are good to go. I connect from home, (45 miles
way)
and it is a clean fast connection. (I have road runner at home) Nearly,
like a local connection.

I have read the posts on Tridiavnc, PC Anywhere, and using XP Pro.
Is the XP Pro located at the remote location or within the network?
We have a Win2K Server and the users all have cable at home. Does
anyone know what would establish the "easiest" connection and how
do you set it up? Any help would be appreciated...Anyone can contact
