OT: Shop Floor Printers

If your looking for fast and cheap, we have two Xerox Docuprint M750's out
here on the floor. They print 10PPM Draft Quality, which is a little shaky
but readable. We got them from CDW at $100 a piece. They have both
Parallel and USB connections. We have not yet attempted any networking
printing with these guys yet.

We also have a couple of HP LaserJet 1100's.

If your looking for a high quality, fast printer, the HP Laserjet 4000's are
great, and the 5000's can print B size. They're not cheap, though.

www.cdw.com is my favorite place to go for just about all my equipment,
because they include printable spec sheets for just about every product on
the site.

Just wondering what people were using for
printing on the shop floor. We need to add
a couple of printers into some harsh environments
(many chemicals around). What have you had
good luck with? Where would you recommend
looking? Thanks for any and all suggestions.

We used an old HP LaserJet 4 on our floor. Stood up to everything. We also
had good luck with HP LaserJet 5L and the NEC SuperScript 860.
Circuit-board manufacturer, so there were lots of chemicals floating around.
