Outdated Directives after upgrade

The method directives all get set to outdated when you upgrade. I believe in one of the appendixes on an upgrade I did there were instructions for mass updating them. There is an option for "Directive Update" under BPM / General Ops. In 9 there is a "Directive Recompile Setup" where you can recompile outdated directives. I believe it was slightly different in V8 but the option was there.

Hello,



I have several method directives that are flagged as outdated after I
upgraded to 9.05.700a.



I've read the help file to determine what makes a method directive
outdated but I'm not sure where to go from there.

I looked at two of them. They both only have one action with not
conditions and the action executes ABL code.

I validated the code with no errors, then I validated the method and
then I checked the compatible box, all with no error.

Basically, I didn't do anything but it seems to compile.



I feel like I'm missing something.



Does this sound correct?

I've been through 4 or 5 patches on 8.xx and all I've ever had to do was hit the validate check box and away we go... I would think patching in 9 wouldn't be dissimilar unless you hit an undoc. Feature..

It seems to be just that simply.

I guess it would be nice to know why the method directive got flagged as
outdated to begin with but...as long as it works.
