Scott,
Thanks for the idea! I will give it a try and see if this will fix my
problem.

Instead of using BPM why not use a Event such as After Field Change or After
Row Changed. Then you could update the fields in PartPlant to the Values you
wish to set using VB code in Customization.
I have not worked with BPM so I am not familiar with it, yet (soon
hopefully)

The problem that I see when it does this is it does not store the new data
in the partplant.ttsourcetype field. It is directly written from the
part.tttypecode or copies the data from part.typecode to
partplant.sourcetype. The BPM then does not see a change for the plant
table.

Part Type is set at both the Part Detail and the Plant.
The Part Detail is the default type. But if you are multi-plant you could
have it set at Manufactured at one Plant, Purchased to Transfer at another.
And now with Sales Kits in 8.03 you could have that designated at the Part
Detail and individually at Plant.
The message that comes up when you change type is to ask is you wish to
updater the Plant record also.

Subject: [Vantage] Part Type
I am looking for some help with setting Plant table data when a part is
changed from Purchased to Manufactured or Manufactured to Purchased. I have
not been able to figure out when you change the Part type code to Manu. It
pops up a message to ask if you want to change the Plant type code. Working
with the BPM module I can not get the system to update some of the plant
data when the data is changed. It looks like the logic sets the plant type
code when the message is triggered. Can anyone help me out! I must be
overlooking something!
