Most times we cannot increase a PO, but the only way to stop these suggestions is to lock the qty, but then we don’t receive the cancel messages. How do other’s manage these messages?

our director of supply chain has been asking for this for a while, being able to stop seeing increases but wants to see cancels.

It’s been 3 years. Is locking quantities still the only way to avoid the increase quantities suggestions?
In our case we do need better management of work orders and closing purchase orders, but I am trying to encourage better engagement with the system by removing irritants if possible.
I would suggest you look at Planning Time Fence and see if it does what you need.
It is intended to prevent suggestions if the due date falls within a certain window. Like saying, once the due date for this is x days away, it’s too late to make changes to it so figure something else out.
