That did the trick.
Thanks.

Subject: RE: [Vantage] Progress 9.1D installing issue
The registry keys I can remember are these;
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\PSC
HKEY_USER\{X}\Software\PSC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\PSC
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlset\Services\Proservice(8x/9X)
I will warn you that this leaves a funky remnant in add/remove programs.
Also, I had one client that took an exorbitant amount of time to load
after getting the install to work. For that 1 out of 25 client, I
formatted his system.

Subject: [Vantage] Progress 9.1D installing issue
I am trying to reinstall vantage 6.1 on a system that had some remnants
of 5.2 on it. The progress 9.1d install ends abruptly and I know that
it is related to some old registry settings. It has been a few years
since I ran into this. I have exhausted my memory for registry search
terms. I also have deleted all the files that I can find for progress
and vantage on the C:\ drive.
Does anyone know exactly what registry setting causes the conflict? Are
there are any buried or hidden files on the computer itself that must
be removed first?
Thanks for the help.
