Sorry, but going to the registry is the only way I ever had around that
problem. I found that issue over a stressful upgrade from 5.2 - 6.1.

I'm having a hard time installing 6.1 client on a desktop that is
currently running 5.2. it sits for hours on the "Progress Network
Client Install" screen and never progresses. Other than going into the
registry and removing every instance of progress, anyone have any
helpful tips? Did anyone else having this problem?
