Progress language

I always assumed they were encrypted. After all, Epicor wouldn't want you to understand to much about how their software works.

Going in way over my head now and just getting into this. I am seeing
the files on the server with the .p extension. Right now I can't open
these. What kind of software do I need to be able to view these files.

Thank You

Gene
Depending on what version of software you can will need the Open Edge or
Progress software. Progress will be installed automatically with version
4.0 to 6.1. You will have to install progress through the oe100b or
oe101b folder for 8.0 and higher.

The ".p" files and ".i" are progress source files and will open with

(samples in mfgsys803\Server\UD\Test directory)

The ".r" files are progress compiled program files and can not be opened
with a text editor.
