Progress problems

I think I just found what was causing it.
We were trying to run a tape backup of a running database.
We should have known better than that.

APW 18: bkwrite: write to disk failed errno 0. (3645)"

Just in case, we are using MERANT 3.60 32-Bit Progress SQL92 v9.1C
driver, could ODBC cause it?
Any help appreciated!!!

Sounds like an I/O drive issue. Is your hard drive or controller going bad?

We do online backup every 2 hours and tape backup twice a day.
