Reason Code for DMR - deletes from system

We ran on 8.00.811A ,( we are now on .811B )and set up several DMR, INV, SCRAP reason codes and we did not see this behavior. Are there multiple users accessing setups for GL or reasoncodes besides yourself. One way to check this is to setup a BAM and capture the change log on all related tables to reasoncodes and GL Accounts and see who all is modifying them. If you have an inventory clerk, prod mgr or QA person with access to the setup to reason codes in the menu, then its open to anyone to delete,add, modify etc. just a thought!

The G/L Account codes were in on one day and two days later the G/L
Accounts were gone. We have approx 20 Reason codes we use under the
DMR code. We also have approx 15 Reason codes under the Inv Adj.
code and those Reason codes have not dropped out.

Does the same person (or persons) who maintain the DMR codes also maintain RMA codes? If not and the codes are similar be sure to coordinate between the people involved to make sure the RMA code maintenance is not clobbering the DMR code. Way back in 5.2 there was a bug where internally the codes were stored in the same table and the only difference in the key was a type code...."D" for DMR and "A" for RMA....and the update screens save routine had the codes swapped. So changing an RMA code with the same code as a DMR replaced the entry for the DMR code. Not sure if this was ever fixed in 6.1 or beyond because we stopped using Advanced QA. I finally tracked down the whole scenario by making changes and dumping the table in between each change. If the problem still exists and you have someone changing the RMA codes they could be affecting the DMR reason codes info. A long shot but easy to check.
