Report Builder Printer Problems

If you get this solved before me, please post the answer. I have had this
problem and I never seem to get it solved. It is a report by report issue.
I expect it is how the printer is set when saving the report, but If you
find out for sure, please post it.
Thanks,

Subject: [Vantage] Report Builder Printer Problems

I have been writing some reports in Report Builder and have had some
problems with printing.

The printer is a HP LaserJet 2100 hooked up to a HP JetDirect Print Server.
The print server is driven from a Windows 2000 server. Vantage 5.00.350,
Progress 9.1A.

Some reports feed correctly when we print them. Other reports will not feed
out of the printer until you press the page eject button. These reports are
on the Vantage menu through Custom Report Link.

Anyone see this type of behavior?

This is a fuzzy recollection but I think once I had written a new report just after messing around with my printer settings on my PC (where RB is written) to use manual feed. The new report inherited the current printer settings for the report including the paper type. I had to go into the report's printer settings and set it back to automatic (or a particular feed tray) and save the report. Then when users ran it it obeyed the saved settings and fed without requiring a button push. At least I think this is what it was.

I would start trying some different HP drivers. We had a terrible time
with printer problems. Half the problem was the drivers and half the
problem were the Hubs we had at that time (Not switches)
