Sales Deposit and Aging

Hi all,
Does anybody know why aging report includes on account cash receipts (prepayments) and not deposits ?

Difference between SALES ORDER DEPOSITS and ADVANCED BILLING (deposit) INVOICES

An unpaid deposit invoice is not a deposit in the sense of the commonly understood business
meaning, of money received from the customer in advance showing intention to complete the deal. Rather, an unpaid deposit invoice is a request for deposit. Deposit invoices become
actual deposits only after you receive payment from the customer.

Allocated deposits play almost the same role as credit memos - they credit the customer balance
and affect the credit limit calculation accordingly.

Unpaid, unallocated deposits do not affect customer balances or credit limits.

• SALES ORDER DEPOSITS show in the CUSTOMER TRACKER PAYMENTS TAB
• ADVANCED BILLING INVOICES show in the CUSTOMER TRACKER INVOICES TAB

Aged Receivable Report will NOT show sales order deposits.
But sales order deposits do Show on ADVANCED Deposit Report

I hope this helps

Thanks !!

We must have something set-up in our configuration that anytime we “get details” on a job the system creates a memo entry for it. I would like to shut that off but I cannot seem to find the setting for that. does anybody know where the setting is to turn that off?

Thanks,

Sarah

Sorry I did not mean to post that here
