We are on 9.05.702 and noticed Sales Order Acknowledgement is not updating when switching territory sales person. Sales Territory sales person has been updated, Work Force - old sales person is inactive, new sales person is active.
New sales order acknowledgements prints inactive sales person. Did I miss updating something?
You are correct SO Header -> Sales Person Tab shows the old sales person. What I am questioning is why it is not pulling in the correct new sales person.
The salesperson is set in the Sales Order when it is created. That can come from the Quote if created from a Quote or can come from the Customer file if the default Salesperson is defined there. Once set, it will only be updated manually in Sales Order Entry.
Order is not created from quote. Order is created in Sales Order Entry and I am not seeing why when the territory sales person has been update and customer entry has the correct territory listed why the sales order is not picking up the correct sales person.
Kristine, you need to select/update the proper salesperson on the customer.
Adding a salesperson to a territory (could be more than one to a territory)
only defines the reps within a territory, it does not automatically update
who the salesperson of record is on the actual customer record itself
@mjfwagner - you are correct the customer needs to also be updated. That has also been done prior to creating the sales order.
It seems there is a refresh issue of some sort after everything is updated, Sales order Entry still pulls in the old sales person name. Thank you for you help,

@mjfwagner Yes this is happening after every setting has been updated and new sales orders are created. I will call Epicor to see if this has been reported as a bug.
