The only aspect of it that I'm sure of is that you have to set up your
method with at least one of your raw materials having a salvage part number
& qty per indicated.
When you receive from the Job, you can then receive not only what you were
primarily producing on the job - but also the actual salvage part qty.
We just started doing this on a temporary basis to utilize some dead
(activity) subassembly SKUs with other common subcomponents (in place of
things we would otherwise have to wait 6-8 weeks to buy order for order).
So far, it seems to be working on 405a.
