Salvage Material - Vantage 6.1

We use the salvage function at Weaver Industries to return excess raw
material back to the warehouse. It is a very manual function. The
shop communicates what material is left over to material handling and
someone enters the info Vantage. That moves the costs out of the job
(WIP) and back into Raw Material.

Does anyone use Salvage Material function in Vantage?

We have By-Product Material from some material that we make ... how do they show up on Pick lists or Shop floor paperework?

For example, for every XYZ tube I cut to length, I get a V-tube 18-inches long.

How does this get communicated to the SHOP FLOOR?

Hi,

We use the salvage material.

In terms of paper work. You will need to modify the crystal report to
pick up the fields through ODBC.

As part of our job closing routine we then manually receipt back the
salvage routine. Unfortunately, it is not backflushed. I have put in
a request for a mod on this.
