Off hand (meaning a guess) I would check in Internet Explorer (Tools-
Internet Options) under the Programs tab and see if Outlook is designated as
the Email program. This setting in IE seems to control a lot of MS
programs. Sometime the email choice is empty or is set to Dial-Connection
and if you have no dial setup it activates the wizard.

Hi all,

I have a question in relation to Windows XP and\or Exel\Outlook 2000.
If I could get any suggestions or feedback it would be greatly appreciated.
The dilema lies within either Outlook or Excel or XP pro..
When we get a purchase requisition and try to route it to another recipient,
the XP machine has a wizard for connecting to the internet pop up, ask you
for your name, email address and what type of connection your server uses.
It asks whether the connection is a POP3 HTTP or IMTP. We run on a small
LAN of around 30 computers so I am sure everything involved with any
connectivity would be through the server. I can't understand why this
connect to the internet wizard keeps popping up every time we do a
'file'...'send to'...'mail recipient'.

Thanks for any feedback.

Chad,
We have found that re-installing (or installing the next version) of Internet Explorer will clean up the "Send To" option so that it works correctly. Sometimes, installing Microsoft Office changes the "Send To" so that it seems to work bizzarly (is that a word??).
