I assigned a range of 10 serial numbers to a 10 pc job (053782). Then
I received 10 into inventory from that job. Later I issued 4 of the 10
from inventory to other jobs (1 was job # 204859-3-1). When the PDR
for the original job, 053782 is printed only 6 serial numbers appear
when the "Print Serial Numbers" box is checked. These are the ones
remaining in inventory. The 4 that were issued to the second job
disappeared. Since the premise of serial numbering is trace-ability,
it seems that this is a broken link. Has anyone experienced this and
if so is there an explanation other than the dreaded "Working as
Designed" from Epicor?
