I was given a crash course with them, was told by an EPICOR tech with a webex when checking my updating using service connect that I could use updateable BAQs, I don't have any in use but from what I've seen and played with they are easy to setup. And was told if I had Info Worker installed I could use it when creating the view in Portal, thus making limited use of it with a web part. We do not have IW installed at the moment but when it is I intend to try it and perhaps then find a use for it.
Has anyone had any success with using Service Connect to update a Web
Part on a Sharepoint site? If so could you give me a few steps on how
to do this?

I was under the impression that Portal exposed BAQs to SharePoint Web
Parts and SC was only used if one wanted to update Vantage/Epicor from
the Web Part.

I was told Sharepoint Lists could be updated once Portal was used but
Service Connect could update a web part without Portal. That's why I
sent them email... I wasn't sure on what could/couldn't be done.

I just got my 9.05 Training database on a VM because I want to play
with updatable BAQs - no Portal required. We have InfoWorker but
didn't have a full SQL to run it but apparently you don't need Portal
for the Office Info Worker any more.

Has anyone else played with updateable BAQs?
