I'm not sure why your shop tracker isn't working. I'm pretty sure the only
thing you have to do is check the "Report in Shop Tracker" checkbox in the
shop warning maintenance screen. I don't have any more information on that.
We are running on 8.03.403D and everything is working fine. As far as
emailing goes, I know that there are several places you have to enter your
smtp server name and default email address in order for it to work. There
is a place in company maintenance, and then I know there is also a place in
the mfgsys.config file that has to be updated. I don't have all the
information on this one, but I know it took us a while to get it working.
Then, in order for the emails to send, you have to run the "Global
Alerts/Email Process" that is in Systems Management>Utilities. It is
similar to what has to be done in order to email from BAMs also. Hope this
helps.

Thanks for your response Daniel. I followed the instructions below and I was
able to get the warning message to display when I made the transaction.
However, the warning message still is not reported in the "shop tracker", I
also setup an e-mail alert to be sent out as well, and this action wasn't
performed either. Would you happen to have any info on these topics?
Thanks again,

Subject: [Vantage] Shop Warning Question - 8.03.4XX
I have a question related to shop warnings. I am looking to have two of the
system shop warnings to be displayed in the shop tracker when their
conditions are met. The two shop warnings that I need to have displayed are:
1) Code 70: Operation is Over Quantity.
2) Code 60: Operation was Completed Under Quantity.
To have these shop warnings display in shop tracker I did 3 things:
1) Went to system mgmt - company maintenance- company. I then verified that
the "Use Shop Warnings" box was checked. (I know that this is working
because there are other warning messages that are being displayed in shop
tracker)
2) Went to job mgmt - setup - operation. I then verified that the "Create
Shop Warning" and the "Send Shop Warning Alert" boxs were both checked.
3) Went to job mgmt - setup - shop warning. I then verified that the
"Report in Shop Tracker" boxs were checked for both "operation is over
quantity" and "operation was completed under quantity"
I believe that this is all that needed to be done so I ran a few tests but
unfortunately the warnings still don't display in the shop tracker. Is
there a step that I am missing here?
Any input would be greatly appeciated and thanks in advance for your help!
