I was just wondering how many companies have the Vantage Source
code? Did you have to purchase it? If so, how long ago did you get
it? Costs?

Our company is considering purchasing the source
code for Vantage. I'd like to know how many companies
have the Vantage source code and whether they think
the purchase was worthwhile. Also, is the code well
documented and do you automatically get the source
code for new releases and patches?

I inquired about this a couple months ago, even for just one report, and was
told flat out NO. It can not be purchased and they are no longer releasing
it. Apparently too much problem with consultants making mods and selling
add-on features competing with Epicor. You can try but I would not be
optimistic.

It's very worthwhile. Even if you don't do a lot of custom programming it's
good in a management meeting to show what Vantage is doing behind the scenes
and have the code to verify that.

The code is well documented, and code for the patches is downloadable.
