Oh my… you have the adVANTAGE of us here…
for those former Epicor Avante customers: the letters ii / i2 are meaningful as well as iConnect and U2 and CPN.
Did you backup pilot? -or- And before you ask, yes I ran a trace. lol
I totally missed this one, but man… SalesRepList…~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“There is another update scheduled for this weekend, maybe that will fix it”
User: “That po suggestion that you see is missing, i cannot see it”
Consultant: “Are you a buyer?”
User: “Yes, I buy things all the time”
Consultant: “Oh wait… are you an authorized user of the PO’s assigned buyer?”
User: “What’s an authorized user?”
You are going to have to use a new interface, we won’t show you how to convert your items and the automatic conversion process will not work even for the simplest item.
Oh, your looking for the user id it’s call DCDUserID.
This last patch didn’t fix it… Should we reach out to support…? Eh… It’s not worth the fight.
“There is not enough unallocated inventory in this bin for this transaction.”
“Multi-Company is down again”
User: “Can’t you just make a button to do that for me?”
Me: “It’s like 3 clicks…”
User: “Still, it takes too long”
Nice Brandon
“Of course Epicor it can do that…”
With some combination of UD fields, BPMs or EFx’s, BAQs or uBAQs…
(This is both a compliment and the bane of my days.)
[Edit: Duh - I’m not supposed to say Epicor]
We will force you to accept an update
It will break something and cause errors
When you create a ticket we will create a problem and say that the ticket should be closed because there is a workaround even though doing it the right way causes errors
Or said another way
We will create a cool feature called Copy to Excel
But when we update the interface to something starting with K it will not work for some screens and causes errors
But we will telling you it to close cases because there is a different way to do it as well
All that is true for Epicor… but also for AutoCAD, PageMaker, and every other enterprise-level software program and manufacturer.
