Thank you and good bye

Can I get credit.

I've always said that but I prefaced it with "It's a double-edged sword"!

"The great thing about Vantage/Epicor is that it is easy to tweak. The bad
thing is that you need to."

That has to be a contender for quote of the year !

Thanks heaps to everyone who contributes here. This forum has been invaluable in helping improve our company's Vantage experience, and has improved my personal knowledge considerably also.

I begin a new job this coming Monday, and am leaving the world of Vantage and Epicor behind (for now anyway). I will be going to a younger organization (in terms of information management), and living out of Excel and Solidworks exports for a while.

Not too far away I'll have the task of recommending database/information systems in my new role, and I'm not sure whether Vantage can improve sufficiently in that timeframe to be a contender. The great thing about Vantage/Epicor is that it is easy to tweak. The bad thing is that you need to. The out of box performance has dropped radically since 6.1.

All the best to you guys and girls. Soldier on. Keep Epicor honest if you're in a position to do so.
Good luck kerry.

Kerry - you will be missed!

Thank you for your contributions to this group - you've always been so willing to share your expertise and insight, and it's been greatly appreciated.

And who knows? We might just see you again on this site...

Best of luck to you - and try to avoid earthquakes. :-)
