Trouble with bpmemail.p

Thanks I did find it in mfgwrk803 along with the SMTP log.

But, curiously, there are no entries since Feb 16, 2012 when it failed on some error. Before that, there were entries almost ever few minutes (129MB log file)

I've used this routine in the past to compose and send an email from within a BPM. In fact, it is installed in an active BPM and is working quite well.

I've tried to copy and modify the BPM code to compose emails for a different BO but this routine will not fire the bpmemail routine or it doesn't execute. I can trace that it is doing everything to prep the message but the email doesn't get sent. Iv;e even added a normal "action" email in the same BPM and it sends OK

Nothing shows up in the server logs.

Anybody got some suggestions or tips for me?
Have you checked the BPM Action log? That will let you know whether the
email made it out of Epicor, and whether there's more of an email relaying
issue.

You could try wrapping the code in this, if there is an issue in the code it will get written to this file. Also check Jose's site... http://www.usdoingstuff.com/2011/06/08/writing-to-a-file-from-progress-abl4gl/

Output To 'C:\debug.txt'.

Output close.

Where can I find the BPM action log? Must be on the server somewhere?

It'll be in your \EpicorData\ folder. Filled with 'Completed' and 'Processing' messages, and then stuffed in there it should show PIDs when the BPMs fire.

We don't have all that many, so I've made it so that all the BPMs log to the server log at the entry and exit of the BPM.

Your BPM Action Log is set when you first start the BPM Action Process.
This is typically done only once, and is assigned to a schedule.

You can find where it's at by opening up your system agent, finding your
start up task, finding where the BPM Action Process is, then clicking the
Actions to view the task parameters. That will show you where it's at in
your installation.

If I remember correctly, the default for this is not, for some reason, in
the server/logs area. Typically when I'm working with my clients, I change
it over, so that action log is the same place the other log files are. I
got tired of going through the above process because I could never remember
where the default location was.
