Upgrade to E10 Blank Title 137977

I agree also with Todd.
Using the tools in Epicor (or Vantage) you can setup BAQs to create your DMT files to be uploaded.
Going into the tables, select one of the UD fields and place your new code there.
In the BAQ pull in the UDField and label the column as the keycode.
So for the Product Group, you might make ShortChar01 the new keycode (ProdCode).
Joining the Part to the Product Group in the BAQ, you will now be able to update the Part with this new ProdCode when you export it on the BAQ.
Using process sets, you can automate the process to export the tables.
Followed by using the DMT Scripts to upload the whole process can be run fairly efficiently.

We are looking to moving to Epicor 10 from Epcior 9.05.702a.  We are currently on SQL db but want to eliminate the progress part.

Should be install fresh and restore DB or do we upgrade from 9.05.702a?

What have others done?  What is the best way?

Thanks Kim

Download the Epicor Migration Guide from 9 to 10. They have very detailed steps for the migration. It’s pretty slick

My 2 cents….  If you had been on Vantage for a long time and then E9 it could be an excellent opportunity to reorganize the coding schemes for resources, groups, bins, customer codes, part codes, etc… and DMT in just newer more relevant data to a clean DB.   Smaller DB, faster performance.  DMT is a pretty slick tool and worth having after re-implementing.  It’s more work to do all this than conversion but there are a lot of benefits and it’s sort of a “one time” opportunity.  Worth considering.
