V6.1- A/R Cash Receipts Group Posted not cleared

We now have three A/R Cash Receipts Groups which have been posted but still
appear. The groups are selectable and give the option to Post. However, an
error window pops exclaiming "This group has already been posted."

Any ideas? Maybe a conversion utility I could run?
