Everything works ok with the ProControl the only thing you must do is to
uncheck the box "automatically start the database.." in the Progress
Explorer Tool
or you could disable the AdminService for PROGRESS 9.0B"

This one seems to have missed the 5.0 bug list. This is serious for us, as
we rely heavily on Crystal Reports to get at the information we need.
Using ProControl in 5.0... Is there something you should UNDO in the Admin
Services to use ProControl instead? Or do you just set up Pro Control and
do it all from there and ignore the Progress Explorer Tool completely.

Troy and all eManufacturing users,
Be aware of the fact that Print previews FAIL to print when reports that
contain sub
report that connect to the vantage database,
(using the MERANT 3.60.32 BIT PROGRESS SQL92 v 9.1A ODBC driver PGPRO
915.DLL)
are used. The error message you will receive is "Error 599".
This also happens when compiling reports.
So in other words you can only use the fields from the DBF files or print
your reports from Crystal.
Or like in most cases keep on using the "MERANT 3.60.32 BIT PROGRESS
driver
IVPRO15.DLL".
But then you should use the ProControl to start the broker.
The 5.0 ODBC instruction is more or less the same as for 4.0. if you like
I
can post one.

I understand 5.0 comes with it's own ODBC drivers. Where are the
instructions for setting this up?
