Vantage 5.2 and Win95

Just load the winsock update from Microsoft, and copy msvcp60.dll from
the vantage\dll folder to the windows\system folder. We have quite a
few computers still running Windows 95 with no problems yet.

Subject: [Vantage] Vantage 5.2 and Win95

I am need to order some new PCs and would like to upgrade people in the
office and take their old PCs and use them as terminals. These PCs are
win95.

I seem to remember that people had trouble with an error coming up when
you first started Vantage 5.2. If you clicked OK then Vantage would
load fine. Did anyone get this fixed or find a way around this? I am
still on 5.1 but don't want to make any decisions before I am sure that
this would work for 5.2.

I would really like to use these old PC on the shop floor. The shop
floor enviroment being what it is I wouldn't really care if they died on
me.

Back in December Tim Goertz at Bermo suggested that installing Winsock 2.0 (download from Microsoft) would fix this. I have not tried it yet on the one Win95 PC we have left that uses Vantage. That wheel has not squeeked enough about clicking on OK for me to get down there and try the fix.
